Pay To Cum — Bad Brains
Alec MacKaye recounts that Bad Brains drove to the wrong address for their March 1979 Inner Ear session. They got there with just an hour left and recorded six songs. One was the first studio recording of “Pay to Cum.” The song made its official debut on a seven-inch single in 1980, but the earlier session passed unofficially among tape-trading punks. Ian MacKaye mixed that session for Trust Records’ 2026 release, putting it on vinyl, cassette and digital for the first time. Hear Pay To Cum by Bad Brains.
